Setting Your Webmail “From” Address

Sometimes it’s convenient to be able to compose or reply to messages in webmail “from” another address. For example, you might maintain three email aliases for one account: joe@somewhere.com, info@somewhere.com, and webmaster@somewhere.com, and you’d like to be able to selectively reply to email messages from these three accounts without having to log into and out of three webmail sessions.

To set up multiple compose/reply “identities” in either Squirrel Mail or Horde, click on Options, then Personal Information, then Edit Advanced Identities. Enter as many identities as you like. When you compose or reply to a message, the default “from” identity will be the Main Identity, but you’ll be able to select others from a picklist at the top of the message window.
