Backups
Customer data backups occur at two levels:
1) Our datacenter does regular daily backups and can retrieve files, directories, or entire user homes from the previous day’s backup at any time.
2) We run our own rsync backups. We maintain a complete current snapshot of all user homes, databases, and Mailman configuration directories. In addition, we run daily incremental backups on a 30-day rotating schedule. We can usually recover a file you may have accidentally overwritten or deleted on any day in the past month.

Important: Despite the fact that we take backups seriously, our backup plan may change at any time, and our systems are not infallible (no system is). We strongly recommend that you not make any server the sole repository for any content that matters to you. Keep a mirror of your web site on your own hard drive. You’ll also find a “Backups” section in cPanel, under “Site Management” that will let you download complete copies of your Birdhouse home and any databases you might have.
