Set Up an Autoresponder (Vacation Message)

When you go away on vacation, you can configure the mail server to respond automatically to incoming messages.

  1. Visit your webmail at http://yourdomain.com/webmail
  2. Authenticate as usual with your full email address and password.
  3. Before selecting a webmail system as usual, instead click onĀ  Autoresponders
  4. Click “Add Autoresponder”
  5. Enter the email address to be responded to, a custom “From” line if you like, a subject line, and an autoresponse message.
  6. When the user returns from vacation, return to the page and click Delete next to that person’s autoresponder.

Alternatively, the main account holder can set up autoresponders from within cPanel itself.
