The birdhouse mail server runs ClamAV virus detection. Unlike our spam filter, where we keep the threshold of tolerance high so as not to inadvertently tag non-spam as spam, we take few risks with virus detection. We do not pass viruses on to the customer to decide what to do with them. No one wants viruses or suspected viruses in their inbox, so we delete them at the server level. Period. Virus definition tables are updated hourly.

Caveat: The presence of ClamAV does not guarantee that you will never receive or contract a virus via email. No warranty against viruses that have moved through birdhouse’s mail server is expressed or implied.
