To create your own WordPress installation for a personal blog, school or non-profit site, publication, or almost any other kind of site, log into your cPanel, click the Fantastico icon, then click on WordPress to begin the installation process. The wizard will guide you through the process.

We consider it essential to keep WordPress up to date as soon as new security updates become available. When new WordPress updates become available, you’ll see a notice in your WordPress Dashboard.

While the upgrade notice will warn you to back up your files and database before upgrading, we’ve never seen an issue where a downgrade was required after upgrading – it’s almost always safe to simply upgrade. However, we provide no guarantees against site breakage. To be absolutely sure, feel free to use the backup tools built into cPanel to back up your database.
